2017 - Reflecting Through Photos

2017 - Reflecting Through Photos

It's a cultural practice to reflect on your past year with the coming of a new one. Photos have that powerful ability to open a window to memory and aid in reminiscing about those past experiences. Edmonton's Top 40 Under 40 in Education for Avenue Magazine

We had the great privilege of photographing the education section of Avenue Magazine's annual Top 40 Under 40 issue which is on newsstands now. In addition to the portraits used in the magazine we wanted to showcase some of the variety of setups we got for each individual.

One of the great joys of our job is meeting interesting and incredible individuals, especially those who care deeply about what they do and making a difference. This crowd fit that perfectly.

Altameda Band Portraits!

We had the chance to shoot some more promotional photos recently for our good friends, Altameda. We photographed the band in a very cool, unused, building in downtown Edmonton.  There were countless amazing places to photograph if you could get past the heat, smell of pigeon poo and creepy items looming around every corner.  This shoot was a great opportunity for us to use our new godox flashes. This shoot required them mostly just for a little bit of fill light.

Here are a few of our favs from the day.

The Launch of our new site!

Hey! Thanks so much for stopping by! There have been some changes over here at Cooper and O'Hara. We have just Changed platforms from Wordpress to Squarespace. Wordpress has always worked well for us, but we found ourselves never updating it, as some tasks were just to difficult for our photographer brains. We are now choosing to take squarespace for a test drive. After peer reviews and testing it ourselves we are finding it a much simpler platform to perform our daily tasks on.
